Welcome to Plowboy Landscapes
I want to take this opportunity to introduce you to Plowboy Landscapes, Inc. Doug Wasson has overseen the operation of this award-winning company since 1976. Most of Plowboy’s projects are in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. However, we do landscape construction from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles Counties. Although we specialize in large commercial landscapes and estate gardening, we also landscape many smaller projects.
We take great pride in our work and use only irrigation and plant materials of the highest quality. We understand the importance of working within a given budget and schedule. The Plowboy crew is efficient, knowledgeable, and experienced in working with all types of commercial projects. In addition to installing landscapes, Plowboy also offers gardening services. We maintain gardens for large commercial properties in the Santa Barbara and Ventura areas and some larger projects to the north and south.

The Sustainable Landscape
Landscape Maintenance and Landscape Construction Policy Statement
Whether we call it the built environment, the managed habitat, or the sustainable landscape, our job is to create and maintain it. This involves working with the landscape architect to install and maintain landscapes that meet your present needs and minimize future expenses or damage. This is a conservationist approach with an eye to practical concerns. The protection and enhancement of natural systems and resources must be balanced with economic production. We need integrated solutions to problems, using current technologies to improve quality. All of this sounds a bit more complicated or sophisticated than digging plant holes and mowing lawns, and it is. We are endeavoring to improve and upgrade our product continuously. This attitude will save time and money and build better gardens. The sustainable landscape reduces the number of resources required.
