Overview
Plowboy Landscapes was contracted to transform an existing animal enclosure into an authentic native landscape installation for Kangaroos, Wallabies, and Emus. The project required durability, authenticity, and a focus on long-term animal well-being while maintaining efficient irrigation systems and sustainable landscaping practices.
What We Did
Commercial Irrigation Installation
Installed a new, efficient irrigation system to ensure consistent water coverage across the habitat.
Native Plant Sourcing & Installation
Added Tasmanian tree ferns and four 80-inch Melaleuca trees to create shade, shelter, and a natural feel, along with various shrubs and seeded grass areas.
Habitat Transformation
Completed a full landscape and planting installation that replicates the animals’ natural environment.
The Result
The finished habitat now provides a thriving, authentic home for Kangaroos, Wallabies, and Emus. Visitors experience a more immersive connection, while the upgraded landscaping and irrigation systems ensure sustainability and ease of landscape maintenance for years to come.
